I thought the diagnosis would fix everything.
The day I was diagnosed with ADHD, I genuinely believed I'd cracked the code. Finally, an answer. Finally, relief. I'd take a magic pill, and suddenly, like flipping a switch all my struggles would vanish.
I'd wake up with energy and focus. I'd start tasks without that suffocating resistance. I'd finish what I started. I'd stop drowning in overwhelm. I'd never spiral again.
Spoiler alert: That's not what happened.
And the grief that followed? Soul-crushing doesn't even begin to cover it.
I watched other people glide through life like it was easy, unaffected by the tiny things that would completely derail my day. I built system after system, routine after routine, each one collapsing like a house of cards within weeks.
I threw tens of thousands of dollars at anything that whispered the promise of a "cure." Supplements. Courses. Planners. Programs. Therapies.
Nothing. Worked.
I was convinced I was broken beyond repair. Unfixable. Too much.
Until I finally tried the one thing I'd been avoiding my entire life:
Working with myself instead of against myself.

So I did something that felt terrifying at the time: I stopped running from my ADHD traits and started studying them. I got curious instead of critical. I leaned in instead of away.
And that's when everything shifted.
Suddenly, I wasn't fighting a losing battle anymore. I understood why I operated the way I did. I found support that actually worked for my wiring, not some cookie-cutter neurotypical blueprint. I built systems that didn't crumble the second life got messy.
